Through the generosity of local community partners such as Deer Flat Church and Sawtooth Traxx,

Hearts For Heroes is able to support the Chaplain Corps, Family Programs & Child/Youth Programs

to provide these and other fun family events throughout the year ~ here are a few of our highlights!

It takes several volunteers to make these events special and run smoothly.

We would love to have your help! Please fill out this VOLUNTEER FORM

Not only do we get to do the fun events, but we also offer support in ways such as

Thanksgiving AssistanceChristmas Assistance and other unforeseen needs that may arise.

Operation GUARDian Angel
Children's Christmas Party

Our Annual Children's Christmas Party is held each December on Gowen Field. We partner with Family Programs and put together an event that families return to each year! When they arrive, the children get a special goodie bag, play games, do crafts, eat treats and then visit Santa for a special present that was purchased just for them. Their gifts are wrapped and have their names on them, so you can imagine how wonderfully surprised they are!

Parent Child Ball
Our Annual Parent Child Ball brings the entire family out for a fun evening of food, games, dancing and special treats based on a different theme each year! It is such a blessing to see the families laugh together, play together and have dance-offs. We partner with the Chaplain Corps for this event and they make it a fun-filled evening that keeps everyone hopping.

Family Day
Each year we get to support multiple Family Days and love on the families. Some of them are held in a hangar on Gowen Field and some are held offsite in great locations such as the Boise Zoo. When the families come out for their special day, they have the opportunity to play games, bounce in bouncy houses or run the blow-up obstacle course, grab food from a food truck, pick out some toys, check out vendors & other resource tables and just have some down time with their families. When the event is held in the park by the zoo, they get to go through the zoo at no charge to them.

Family Photos
Family Photos are one of those things that sometimes gets overlooked by many families. We have some great photographers who love to partner with us and provide a day where we invite families out to a local park or train depot and shoot some great memories for them. It is so fun to capture their smiles and time together. They are given rights to the photos to use as they choose. There is absolutely no cost to the families for this...what a treasure!
